General
- This page has been translated automatically. Please note that in the event of a legal dispute, only the official German version of this website / document applies.
- This website, the portal and the offers, information, products and services contained therein are not aimed at consumers within the meaning of § 13 BGB, but generally only at institutions, associations, authorities, companies, clubs and traders (within the meaning of § 14 BGB).
- The contracting party confirms that they are a merchant within the meaning of the German Commercial Code (HGB), a legal entity under public law, or a special fund under public law.
- Not all offers, services and products are available in all countries, markets and for all industries.
- German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
- The following applies to all services and contracts within the scope of this offer: The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in connection with the brokered contracts is the registered office of the respective provider or payment service provider.
- All prices quoted are exclusive of the applicable statutory value-added tax. The amount of the fees depends on the location of the terminal used (domestic = Federal Republic of Germany; EU countries; non-EU countries). To the extent that fees are charged for services that are exempt from value-added tax under applicable statutory regulations (e.g., certain payment services pursuant to Section 4 No. 8 of the German Value-Added Tax Act), the invoice will be invoiced exempt from value-added tax.
- This offer is subject to change and non-binding. A legally binding contract is only concluded when the respective partial contracts have been signed in writing by both parties. Until then, there is no entitlement to delivery, service, or prices.
- Conclusion of contracts is subject to the approval of the respective provider and an examination of the industry, the intended use of payment acceptance, the creditworthiness, and other relevant criteria of the merchant. The intermediary is not liable if the contracts are not concluded or if agreed services cannot be provided.
Footnotes
¹ Daily, weekly, or monthly payouts
- The payout of the revenue generated through card transactions to the merchant is made at specified intervals in accordance with the agreement concluded with the respective payment service provider. The following payout intervals are generally available: daily, weekly, or monthly.
- In practice, weekly payouts have become the standard. This enables efficient processing of business transactions, as the revenues are credited in bulk, thus reducing accounting effort. According to the provisions of the German Fiscal Code (AO), in particular the principles of proper accounting (§§ 146 et seq. AO), regular, timely recording and documentation of business transactions is required. A weekly payout interval generally adequately addresses this requirement and significantly simplifies proper accounting.
- Daily payouts are generally only offered to merchants with particularly high transaction volumes or special liquidity requirements. It should be noted that daily payouts result in significantly increased accounting effort, as each incoming payment must be accounted for individually.
- Monthly payouts may be appropriate for merchants with low sales volumes or special organizational requirements, but result in a correspondingly delayed inflow of liquidity.
- The specific payout interval is subject to agreement with the respective payment service provider and can vary depending on risk assessment, creditworthiness, and industry. There is no entitlement to a specific payout interval.
² girocard (EC Card) processing fee (discount)
- The girocard is a payment system issued by German banks and savings banks and is one of the most widely used cashless payment methods in Germany. Acceptance of these cards is generally associated with comparatively low fees for merchants.
- Please note:
- Payments with the girocard can only be processed in euros (€).
- The merchant is obligated to invoice its products and/or services in euros.
- A S€PA-compatible euro account is required for the payment of transactions.
- The girocard does not distinguish between consumer and corporate cards. The processing fee (so-called discount) depends solely on the merchant's registered office or the location of the terminal used and is currently:
- 0,22 % Processing fee (discount) for merchants based in Germany
- 0,23 % Processing fee (discount) for merchants within the European Union
- 0,33 % Processing fee (discount) for merchants in countries outside the European Union
- Note:
The stated fees are subject to individual credit checks and the approval of the respective payment service provider. Changes due to legal requirements or requirements of the card-issuing banks remain reserved.
³ Debit Card processing fee (discount)
- The processing fee (discount) for debit cards is 0.59% and covers the processing of consumer cards issued within the European Union by credit institutions based in the EU (so-called consumer cards).
- For transactions with cards issued outside the European Union, as well as for cards issued by non-EU banks, for business/corporate cards, and other special types of card products, an additional processing fee (discount) of +1.50% is charged.
- The applicable regulations and requirements of the respective card companies (e.g., Visa, Mastercard) are mandatory. The payment service provider has no influence on their content and changes; these are therefore considered the direct basis for the execution of the contract.
-
⁴ also via digital wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.
- Transactions initiated via digital wallets (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Pay, or similar services) are technically processed as card payments. The respective wallet merely acts as a digital representation of the physical or virtual payment card stored in it.
- The processing and payment of these payments is therefore subject to the terms and conditions of the respective deposited card (e.g., girocard, Debit Mastercard, Visa Debit, credit card). Merchants are subject to the same processing fees and contractual terms as for a directly used card, as the wallet itself is not a separate payment method.
- However, there are restrictions that may arise from the type of deposited card:
- Not every card can be stored and used in every wallet (e.g., depending on the card-issuing bank, card company, or regional approvals).
- Transactions via wallets are only possible in those regions and currencies for which the respective card company and wallet provider have granted approval.
- The merchant will not notice any differences in processing or clearing; the restrictions affect the cardholder exclusively.
- Changes or restrictions imposed by the wallet providers or card companies (e.g., restrictions on certain card programs or industries) are beyond the control of the payment service provider and the intermediary.
⁵ Flat-rate transaction fee
- For each card transaction – regardless of the method of initiation (e.g., physical card, contactless use via NFC, or digital wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.) – a flat transaction fee of €0.05 per transaction is charged.
- The fee also applies to unsuccessful transactions (e.g., canceled payment transactions, payments canceled by the cardholder or merchant, technical errors, failed authorizations, or declined payments). This is necessary because in these cases, processing is also carried out via the systems of the payment service providers, network operators, and/or card companies, and corresponding costs are incurred.
⁶ Credit Card processing fee (discount)
- The processing fee (discount) for credit cards is 0.99% and covers the processing of consumer cards issued within the European Union by credit institutions based in the EU (so-called consumer cards).
- For transactions with cards issued outside the European Union, as well as for cards issued by non-EU banks, for business/corporate cards, and other special types of card products, an additional processing fee (discount) of +1.50% will be charged.
- The applicable regulations and requirements of the respective card companies (e.g., Visa, Mastercard) must be adhered to. The payment service provider has no influence on their content and changes; these are therefore considered the direct basis for the execution of the contract.

⁷ American Express Individual agreement
- For the acceptance of American Express payment methods, the conclusion of a separate acceptance agreement with American Express is required. We will be happy to arrange this agreement for you – if you wish.
- The contract offer from American Express is individually prepared based on various company information and requires approval from American Express.
- The technical processing of card transactions is similar to other payment methods; however, payouts to the merchant are made directly by American Express.
- American Express is one of the internationally established card organizations with a high-spending and brand-conscious customer base. Many cardholders prefer this payment method, which can have a positive impact on customer satisfaction and the merchant's sales potential.
- In addition, American Express, in cooperation with PAYBACK, offers a free American Express PAYBACK card, which further increases acceptance (see www.payback.de/info/american-express).
⁸ Support for numerous alternative payment methods (APMs)
- The lidX app, in collaboration with various payment service providers, supports over 500 alternative payment methods (APMs) worldwide. Please note that the availability of individual APMs depends on country-specific licensing conditions, market conditions, and industry-specific requirements. Therefore, the use of all APMs is not possible in every country, every market, or for every industry.
- Within the scope of this offer, we provide you with the most common APMs. If you are interested in other payment methods not listed here, please contact us – we will be happy to check availability on a case-by-case basis.
- The specific offer, the definition of the terms and conditions, and the contractual arrangement are handled exclusively by the respective payment service provider. We will arrange this and forward the relevant documents to you for review and, if necessary, for completion.
⁹ Support for various tipping functions
- The lidX app offers various functions for recording tips, including: no tip, manual tip entry, percentage tip calculation, "smart tip", round-up functions, and combined options such as "smart tip with round-up".
- As a merchant, you have the option of freely selecting and testing the tipping option that best suits your business, and adjusting or changing it yourself at any time. Please note that the activation and use of the tipping functions is subject to applicable legal and tax regulations, compliance with which is the responsibility of the merchant.
¹⁰ Support for cashback (cash payout)
- The lidX app supports the "cashback" function (cash payout to the cardholder as part of a purchase).
- The technical provision and activation of this function are handled exclusively by the respective payment service provider.
- The use of the cashback function therefore requires a separate contractual agreement between the merchant and the respective payment service provider. There is no entitlement to activation or use.
¹¹ All card functions supported (booking, cancellation, credit)
- The lidX app generally supports all payment functions that are technically provided within the scope of the respective payment method and by the corresponding payment service provider.
- By default, this includes the booking, cancellation, and credit functions.
- Other payment functions – such as pre-authorization (reservation), capture, partial refund, or similar extended functions – are technically supported by the lidX app, but are not always available from the respective payment service provider, payment method, or payment procedure.
- The use of such extended payment functions may also require a separate contractual agreement with the payment service provider.
- The contractual terms and conditions of the respective payment service provider, as well as the regulations and requirements of the card companies and payment method providers, apply exclusively.
¹² Free cash register connection (ZVT, O.P.I., Rest API)
- Certain cash register protocols for connecting to electronic cash registers are integrated into the lidX app. These protocols can be used by the merchant free of charge.
- As these are proprietary third-party interfaces, we assume no warranty or liability for their functionality, completeness, compatibility, or the accuracy and completeness of the transmitted data.
- The merchant expressly acknowledges that in the event of malfunction or unavailability of the cash register protocols, no claim for damages, in particular for loss of business or earnings, exists.
¹³ Agency fee
- A one-time brokerage fee is charged for the preparation of offers, the implementation of legally required identification and verification procedures (KYC, credit check), and the preparation of the contract documents.
This fee is due upon submission of the order via the online form.
- The agency fee is waived for orders submitted during the NRF'25 and DMEXCO'25 trade fairs from September 16 to 19, 2025.
- The aforementioned fees are charged independently of the ongoing fees for the agreed services and are to be paid in addition to them.
¹⁴ Setup fee
- A one-time setup fee per device is charged for the technical and administrative setup of the contracts.
- The setup fee is waived for orders submitted during the NRF'25 and DMEXCO'25 trade fairs from September 16 to 19, 2025.
- The aforementioned fees are charged independently of the ongoing fees for the agreed services and are to be paid in addition to them.
